Discove Farm offers a chance to unwind in some of England's most beautiful countryside, Peacefully situated at the end of a private lane, it is about a quarter of a mile from the charming mediaeval town of Bruton, whose roots go deep into pre Saxon history. Close to the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire it is an ideal base for exploring the West Country.

Although no longer a working farm it is surrounded by mixed arable and dairy farmland which also supports a variety of wildlife including deer, badgers, foxes and buzzards. This part of Somerset, with its gentle rolling hills and woodlands, has remained largely unspoilt by modern agriculture or industry.

Within easy reach are the great houses and gardens of Stourhead, Longleat, Montacute and Hadspen while Bath, Salisbury, Bristol and the Dorset Coast are all within an hour's drive. Even Dartmoor and Exmoor can be reached comfortably via the much-improved A303. Sporting facilities in the area include riding, fishing, golf and racing at Wincanton.

The 28 mile Leland Walker's trail passes within a few hundred yards and the Mill on the Brue children's activity centre in Bruton accepts 'day guests' by appointment. There are several excellent restaurants and attractive pubs in the immediate area, more details of which can be found on the Bruton tourist information pages.
